Mr. Chatham's report is so complete and at
the same time so carefully arranged and concisely worded
that it is not necessary for me to specially refer to any
other matters with which it deals except to inform Your
Lordship that since the close of the period to which it
relates the Bacteriological Institute, Civil Hospital New
Staff Quarters, Green Island Gunpowder Depôt and New Light-
house, Harbour Office, Western Market, Yaumati School and
Tai Po officers' Quarters have all been taken over by the
Departments and put to the uses for which they were con-
structed.

I regret the late date at which this Report,
the last of those for the year 1905, is forwarded.
